Medical QuestionNaire

Before starting your freediving course with CO2 Junkies, you'll need to complete a medical questionnaire to ensure you're fit to dive. This helps identify any health conditions that could affect your safety underwater. If any concerns arise, a doctor’s clearance may be required. Your safety is our top priority!

Online Theory

Before your PADI freediver course, you'll need to complete the required online theory. This self-paced module covers essential safety and dive principles, ensuring you're fully prepared for in-water training. Complete it ahead of time so you can focus on mastering your skills in the ocean!

In Person Theory

Before your in-water training, we’ll review key freediving theory in person in Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast), covering safety procedures, breathing techniques, and dive physics. We’ll also go through your equipment , ensuring you’re comfortable with your gear before hitting the water. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and build confidence!

Breathwork

As part of your freediving course, you’ll practice breathwork techniques to improve lung capacity, relaxation, and breath-hold efficiency. This includes diaphragmatic breathing and mental relaxation strategies to help you stay calm and extend your dive time safely.

Pool Practice

The pool training session at the Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre focuses on building confidence and technique in a controlled environment. You’ll practice breathhold skills, safety procedures, and streamlined movement. To complete this session, you’ll need to demonstrate a 1:30-minute static breath-hold and a 25m dynamic freedive, preparing you for open water dives as a.

Ocean Practical

The ocean practical session, completed with Hervey Bay Dive Centre, Fraser Coast is where you put your freediver skills into action in open water. You’ll practice equalization, proper dive techniques, and safety protocols. To complete this part of the course, you’ll need to demonstrate a 10m constant weight freedive and perform a 5m rescue, ensuring you’re confident and capable in real diving conditions.
